Report probe abuse or opt out

Canary9 probes only check services a customer asked us to monitor. If our traffic is hitting your site or service unexpectedly, or you'd like it stopped, tell us and we'll look into it right away.

How to reach us

Email abuse@canary9.com. Every check request from our probe also carries an X-Canary9-Abuse: https://canary9.com/abuse header pointing back to this page, and a From: abuse@canary9.com header, so you can reach us directly from the request itself. See About the Canary9 probe for the full set of identifying headers.

What to include

To validate a report quickly, please send us:

  • The target URL or domain being hit.
  • Timestamps of the requests in question, with the timezone noted.
  • The observed source IP address(es) making the requests.
  • Any request logs you can share (access logs, WAF logs, or similar).

What happens next

We validate every report against our probe's check schedule for the target. Once we confirm the traffic came from Canary9 and matches your report, we stop monitoring the affected endpoint and confirm back to you. If the traffic didn't come from us, we'll tell you that too, since it may be a look-alike or a misidentified source.

Blocking checks instead of opting out

If you'd rather keep monitoring running but stop your CDN or bot management from challenging our checks, see Allowlisting Canary9 probes for provider-specific instructions.
